A good first session starts with a warm-up, then simple fundamentals — stance, movement and one or two high-percentage techniques. You drill slowly and safely with a partner or coach. No one is thrown in to spar on day one.
It is scaled to you. Beginners go at a controlled pace; the goal is to learn, not to be overwhelmed. You set the intensity with your coach.
