Short answer up top: Krav Maga in Dubai runs roughly AED 500 to AED 1,500 a month for group classes at established gyms, and somewhere between AED 200 and AED 500 per session for private coaching. The wider the range, the more useful it is to understand what you're actually paying for.
I coach combat training in Al Quoz, and the price question comes up early. Here's the version I'd give a friend.
What changes the price
Three things move the number. Who's in front of you, how many people are in the room with one coach, and how much of the system you're getting. A coach with serious credentials running a six-to-one ratio costs more than a twenty-person class at a chain gym. A programme that integrates Krav Maga with striking, ground work, and weapons defense costs more than a single-discipline class. You're paying for time on you. Not time in a room.
Group classes vs private coaching
Group classes get you started. They build community and they make the cost feel manageable. Private coaching speeds everything up because you can't hide in the back row. Most members at serious programmes run a blend. Group sessions for the social drive and the pressure-testing, private work to clean up specifics.
The cheap-versus-good question
You can find AED 300 a month Krav Maga in Dubai. You can also find AED 2,000 a month. The expensive one isn't automatically better, and the cheap one usually isn't a bargain. The questions worth asking before you pay anyone:
- Does the coach assess you before letting you join?
- How many people are in the room with one coach?
- What's tested under pressure, and how often?
- What happens in your first month, in detail?
If those answers are vague, the price is irrelevant. If they're sharp, the cost usually justifies itself.
How we price it at DKing Combat System
We're application-based, coached by DKing Saad at Max Burn Gym in Al Quoz 3. Pricing starts with a refundable AED 100 assessment so we both know what you actually need before money changes hands. After that, a single session is AED 450. The 10-session block is AED 3,500, valid for 45 days. 20 sessions is AED 6,000 over 60 days. The Elite 40-session block is AED 11,200 over 90 days. Same coaching across all of them. The blocks just match the cadence people actually train at.
One thing to remember
Cheap training you quit in six weeks costs more than expensive training you stay with. If you're shopping price, that's fine. If you're trying to find a coach you'll still be working with in two years, ask for an assessment first.
